The ground is finally thawing. Soon, the first flowers will bloom. The earth will warm, and crops will be planted. This is my favorite time of year- when everything begins anew, just like Eleanor and me.
It feels like a weight has been lifted, and we can finally get to know each other. Not as we knew each other before, but deeper. It’s a relationship that is new. I’ve learned new things about her and her home, and I’ve also learned so much about her body.
