I stare out of the window, the soft sounds of the radio swirling around me but I barely register the song, my head still swimming with the phone call I had with my mother, the one where she told me that my brother had been attacked . . because of me.
Mum said that they didn’t know who attacked him, that he moved out of the line of the college security cameras, but I know who it was, I know it was Davis.
He warned me, he told me that I’d regret leaving him, that he was going to do something terrible, but I hadn’t believed him.
