Seona sleeps for over four hours, the increase in pain meds that Abbey gave her doing their job and allowing my woman to rest. I'm pretty sure the medical staff are questioning my story about the car accident, but when I quietly mentioned it to Abbey after Seona fell asleep, the redhead had waved her hand dismissively at me, telling me she'd already sorted it and so I reluctantly let it go.
When the doctor finally returned to her room, he mentioned nothing about the cause of her injuries, instead giving me an update on her before checking Seona's chart. Next, he gave me a once over, asking me a s.hit tonne of questions about my breathing, before grudgingly allowing me to remove this f.ucking oxygen mask from my face. Yeah, it hurts to breathe, but I don’t matter right now,
