Hallick’s POV I sit at the table, nursing my second cup of coffee as I watch Seona flit around the kitchen in front of me. She’s now dressed, which is both a blessing and a curse as damn do I like seeing her in my shirt even though I know I shouldn’t do. She carefully cuts each block of fudge into small squares, placing a few chunks of each flavour into a food bag before fastening the top with some ribbon and a tag that has names emblazoned on them. I was surprised to walk in this morning and find her already up, had been about to announce my presence, but I’d been caught out as I watched her leaning over the table, card stock and ribbon around her as she carefully worked on the tiny pieces of card she’d cut into shapes by hand.
