Hallick’s POV I wake up to it still dark outside, flicking on the small light beside the bed, I check my watch to find out it’s only four twenty am. Groaning, I close my eyes again, willing my body to return me to the darkness, but it’s no use and I’m soon sitting up, swinging my legs over the side of the bed and rubbing my thumb and forefinger over my eyes. Reaching for my clothing, I stand up, tugging my familiar hoodie over my head, and making my way out into the silent apartment. Walking into the kitchen, I check out of the window, scouring the empty street in front of me, lit only by the streetlights that line the far side of the road.
