Seona’s POV I feel awkward around Mark, have done ever since my dream a couple of days ago. I don’t know how to interact with him anymore. If the soldier notices, he doesn’t let on, sitting across from me with his morning coffee as I eat a bowl of oatmeal that he made me. We seem to have both taken a step backward, returning to the uncomfortable stretches of silence that were prevalent at the beginning of our cohabitation. The loud bass of rock music suddenly blares from Mark’s pocket, the soldier fishing it out and frowning slightly before swiping the screen and holding the cell to his ear. ‘Hallick’ he barks gruffly, his features tightening as whoever on the other end of the phone speaks. ‘I don’t know man . . ‘ he replies after a few minutes, ‘it’s a little soon . . ‘ He’s cut off
