I sit and eat in silence, listening to Lucian and Millard catch up. "You should have seen the sword land right beside Archie's head, he was scared. I've never seen him scared. It was the best thing." Millard beams, and Lucian laughs. He's actually laughing. In all the months of knowing him, I've never seen him laugh like this. I wonder if he ever laughed in private with Mac and Rust, not that I think Rust could be funny. He's more the serious type, but with a good heart. "I would kill to have seen it." Lucian beams. He looks so comfortable, instead of wound tight like he usually was at Calaris.
He might have called Calaris his home, but it is clear where he's most comfortable. Here, with Millard, in Alorwood. This is his home after all. "Colin even congratulated me," M
