CAROLINE’S POV — ‘Time is up, give up.’ Clara growls, her tone cold, sounding bored and tired. “We still have today.” I remind her, ignoring the knife that stabs into my gut at the thought of the War Games tomorrow. ‘I’m asking you nicely, drop it.’ She sneers. If this is her asking nicely, I’m concerned for when she asks not so nicely. My eyes roll. “You’re so stubborn,” I can’t help but smile, “You want it, and you know it.” If anyone’s standing outside of my door, they might think I’m crazy to speaking to myself. I can mentally talk to her, but sometimes I think out loud. ‘We have today, and today is supposed to be you relaxing, preparing and not thinking about getting me laid.’ She scoffs, sounding bored. “We can do both,” I beam, pinning my braid as I jolt out of the chair, a smile
