We moved in silence, Viola’s guards setting a brutal pace as they frogmarched us through the shadows, a wall of bodies separating Ryan and me from each other.
The further we walked into the forest, the more a pit of unease grew in my stomach and I couldn’t seem to shake the image of Viola’s grinning face out of my mind as she watched us leave.
