Enrique was eerily silent as Vera drove him back home after the funeral service. Even though she was just supposed to drop him off, Vera knew she was going to stay back anyway. He looked so thoroughly disturbed that there was no way she was going to leave him alone. And she was surprised as well as touched that he was so deeply affected by his father's death, the man who didn't give two f***s about him all his life. But again, he was his father and, regardless of everything, that's who he always will be. Cecilia was a crying mess too and Vin was having a very hard time consoling her. The pregnancy wasn't really helping either.
"You should take some rest," Vera said, shutting the door behind her. "It's been a rough time," Enrique nodded glumly as he dragged himself to his bedroom.
