My mind was reeling and for a moment I sat here on the bed, my eyes closed as I talked to Aiden. Jared seemed to understand, sitting across from me, waiting patiently. It was good, feeling his presence there. He was all around me, his scent mixed with mine perfectly; we were complete. ‘I was so scared,’ Aiden whimpered.
