“Sorry about that.” Kyla looked at me apologetically. I took a deep breath and just sighed at her.
“It’s okay. It’s fine,” I said as I looked at Cali, almost hiding behind her. I pressed my lips together and let out a deep sigh again. I looked at Cali and gave her a smile. “Sorry, Cali. I won’t take your book, don’t worry,” I assured her again before standing and heading to the kitchen. She was still with her mother. I didn’t force her to go with me nor talk to me because I was sure that she would just avoid me and she wouldn't even talk to me.
I shook my head and cleaned the mess that Kyla made while she was cooking. Yep, it was freaking messy, as in super messy, gosh. This girl. It was so obvious that she was not cooking.
