“What happened?” I heard Kyla’s voice entering Devin’s office.
I swallowed hard and continued to take deep breaths to calm my breathing. I was still burying my face in Devin’s chest while he was hugging me tightly and caressing my back.
“She had a dream,” Devin said to Kyla. I swallowed hard. I didn’t like that dream…I wished it not to happen again.
“What? What about?” I could hear footsteps coming towards us. Devin gave out a sigh.
“I haven’t asked her. She’s still not calming down.”
I closed my eyes. I didn’t want to hear anything about that dream. I didn’t want to recall that. I didn’t want to relive it in my brain. I just want to forget it already! Why can’t I just forget about it, huh? Why can’t I?!
