“Why can’t you go home, Lieutenant?” My voice filled with longing coursing through me, I spoke. It’s 7 am, the daylight beaming from the east, the arrays I could feel the heat were no longer warm, but there’s this absence I couldn’t comprehend for a very long time. The shore was much colder, the clouds were much greyer than before, and I felt a sorrow driven by the malady on my core.
