Once Casey left I spoke to my parents on the phone and organised dinner with them on the weekend. I also managed to get a good half hour call in with Alex. He could tell straight away that I wasn’t myself and got a full rundown of my conversation with Casey and how I needed them to meet at some point. I left out the part about Mark being overly friendly on the dance floor and the part about it being my birthday next week. I really didn’t feel like having much fuss anyway.
I felt better after talking to Alex but the thought of going to gym for kickboxing and my one-on-one training put me right back into a foul mood. Today’s class was also later than the usual ones which meant my training would be later too. I let Steve know I’d be home an hour later and then headed off to the gym.
