The next day work had me so busy I barely had time for coffee or lunch. These additional clients were demanding but their budgets were well worth it. If we kept picking up business from them we would be able to hire more staff and give everyone big bonuses at the end of the year. It was worth putting in the extra time and making sure this all worked out. Even if it meant I was exhausted and hungry for most of the day. I also hadn’t checked my messages for most of the day.
In the afternoon I got a call from Alex.
