Hope
I wasn't sure what had happened. The whole fight had been a blur. I was standing in front of Ice one moment, the next I felt like this heavy blanket had felt over me, and my movements felt as if I was underwater.
He was fast and it felt like he knew exactly what I was going to do before I even tried it. It was a total defeat, but everyone was looking at me with awe, something I just couldn't understand their reactions.
"Great job," Ice congratulated me.
"I lost," I answered, a little sadly.
"You lasted longer than most. You did really well. No one will dare to say we are taking it easy with you, or that you don't deserve to be one of the Alphas of this Pack."
"But I lost," I protested.
"Against me. Just look around, no one will be messing with you anymore."
