Hope
It was no longer easy and I was exhausted by the time I had my fourth fight. Dealing with the fifth wasn't going to be easy. I grabbed something to eat. I needed the energy since shifting was burning a lot of it.
I stepped into the arena and saw Alice across from me. This was the last fight if I won, that would put me in the top 32. If I lost, I still had a chance, but it wouldn't be as easy.
"I'm surprised you made it this far," Alice told me. "But I guess since it's your family setting up the fights they must have given you an easy road."
