After the run in with David we figured it would be best to head home at least then Mia would be better protected. Black River was not able in good shape at the moment their still recovering from Evan and everything he did. Sam will make a great alpha I can feel it with time and help he will raise the pack to it's glory once more.
Evan did more damage then we initially thought he did not only did he terrorize his own pack but the majority of the pack funds had also been spent on useless investments and inappropriate purchases. Speaking of that i***t and his friends they are all currently locked up in the dungeons awaiting their trial and punishment. Personally, Blade and I wanted to torture him till the brink of death making him beg for mercy but Mia had talked us out of it.
