Christopher’s foot slammed against the gas pedal, his grip choking the steering wheel as the city lights blurred past him. His jaw clenched so tight his molars felt ready to crack. His phone wouldn’t stop buzzing, Abigail’s name lighting up the screen over and over. “f*****g b***h,” he spat under his breath, the vein in his temple bulging. Another call. Another buzz. His fingers curled so tight around the wheel his knuckles went white. Finally, he snatched up the phone, pressing it to his ear without taking his eyes off the road. “Christopher…” “f**k you, b***h. Call me one more time and I swear on your life, you’ll regret it.” He ended the call before she could speak. Tossed the phone to the passenger seat like it was trash. Right now, there was only one woman he gave a damn about.
