Derek broke the silence while we were in the car heading to Mr. Hargrove's mansion. I asked him how he came to be so close to Mr. Hargrove and he told me that Mr. Hargrove was a friend of the family.
When he found out that Derek was in the real estate business, he gave him his first property to sell, and when Derek pulled it off, Mr. Hargrove felt more comfortable with him and gave him more listings.
