The following day, Derek and I drove to work together, and as usual, once we arrived,d, everyone was staring at us.
I didn't care, though, because Derek was my husband, and no one was going to judge us or make me feel uncomfortable.
He followed me to my office, and once we were there, he pulled me towards him and kissed me.
“I have a house to go and check out with Jake and Aisha. I'll be back later on; if anything happens, be sure to call me and let me know.” I nodded my head since I knew that he wouldn't let this go if I told him that I would be fine without calling him.
