Carolyn’s Point of View By the time that Damian came to meet me after practice, I was getting worried that something had happened in the locker room. When they’d all gone off to change out of their gear, Damian had seemed so eager to get out of here. Practice today looked exhausting and he looked like he was about ready to head back to bed. Both the coach and Cameron seemed to be on everyone’s asses today and I didn’t know if it was because of our loss to the Firebirds or if it was some sort of team punishment for what had happened to the Firebirds statue. Either way, everyone was miserable about it, so I made quick work of cleaning up the equipment and finishing my tasks so that once Damian was ready he wouldn’t have to be waiting on me to leave.
