My fall this afternoon had turned into such a spectacle that I was absolutely overwhelmed with embarrassment. After Cameron had carried me off to the nurse’s office, she spent less than 5 minutes assessing me before declaring that I’d given myself a concussion. She then properly wrapped my ankle and asked me to stay a few hours at least for observation. I reluctantly agreed, wanting nothing more than to get back to work and head to my classes and pretend this was just a normal day. It was impossible to do that now though, under these circumstances. I had been so happy to be back at work today after having to take the past two days off, and now here I am.
