Damian’s Point of View Carolyn ended up staying a lot later than I had initially intended, but I actually didn’t mind that. I took her home, the drive turning into a relatively quiet trip as we both took in the last hour of our time together. It had been a long time since I’d taken someone up to the rink my parents had put in the backyard. They’d once spent a fortune on that place, finding a way to keep the ice cool and frozen all year long with a special cooling pad on the concrete.
