"Are you okay now?" Alexei asked, his big silver-grey eyes that looked so much like Valerian's, began scanning her with deep concern.
Noelle blinked at him, tilting her head slightly. "Why wouldn't I be?" she asked, brushing a few strands of his hair back.
Alexei paused in confusion and immediately glanced toward his uncle for help. Without saying a word, the two began communicating through exaggerated gestures.
Valerian who was still sitting on the side like an ignored extra, raised a brow and subtly motioned toward his arm, mimicking an injection. He then swirled a finger near his temple, signaling that Noelle was loopy from the anesthesia.
