I never thought the day would come, but suddenly it was summer, and not just any summer, but July. Daniel complained about the heat, as the city burned during the day while I slept. Vampires don't sweat, but I wasn't enjoying the weather either.
"Do you think we should install an air conditioner to make it more comfortable for you during the day?" Daniel asked me, and it felt good that he cared. I couldn't remember the last time before we met that someone wanted to provide me with comfort. Was Elon ever really caring about me? The thought of him using me and making me serve his needs crossed my mind. The years we spent together seemed like a blur of different times.
