"Silvia," I heard my own voice, slightly shocked. Of course, it was her place, but somehow I was surprised to see her again. Everything had changed around me, but she remained the same, with classy clothes and an expression of power and calm on her face.
"No one is killing anyone here, not on my watch! There was enough vampire blood spilled today. Aurora, and again, you were at the center of it," she was annoyed, but that was okay, I hoped. She was not irate, so I think I had some leeway there.
