Ezra and I followed behind the director, Hannah Williams, to her office. It was against their policy to see visitors without an appointment, but I urged her to give us five minutes of her time. It was urgent. Of course, if I had made some calls ahead of time, we would have been given no push back, but this is one thing I didn't want to use my family name for. To our luck, Miss Williams graciously accepted a short meeting. As we walked down the hallways, the young girls in her care would greet her with smiles and a cheerful voice.
