"Zarina! Zarina!" Anica called me.
Megan and I are waiting for her because she invited us to eat out again. I turned to Anica who was hurrying to get closer to us.
"Hey? Why do you seem to be panicking?" Megan asked her when she got to us.
Anica held my hand and her eyes were full of concern. "Zarina, is what grandma said true? Rye is leaving this Sunday?"
Megan turned to me in shock and frowned. "W-what? W-wait! What does he mean when he says he's leaving?"
The smile faded from my lips and I was silent for a moment as I lowered my head. I really avoided telling them but now they know it.
"A-ahmn, yeah ... t-that's right," I admitted while avoiding looking at them, "that's ... that's true."
