“What the hell is this, Zrion?” Shailla looked at me with troubled eyes. Kitang-kita ko ang sorpresang gumuhit sa mukha niya.
“I quit,” seryosong sabi ko kahit na nababasa naman sa isinent ko sa kanya na email kagabi na resignation letter iyon. Mukhang binasa niya pero hindi niya pinagtuonan ng pansin.

Shailla del Sierro is the director of Malvaro Hospital. She is the only heiress of Chairman Malvar II who is the current president of the hospital.
At si Shailla ang tanging sinadya ko kaya nagawa ko pang tumuntong sa ospital kahit na ang pakiramdam ko ay hindi na ako karapat-dapat na magtungo pa rito.
