The next morning, I went to Mom and told her that I was going to Barcelona. Mom didn’t say a word, so I went straight out and hurled a cab to go to the airport.
My mom’s smile was quite different and unusually mysterious. When I got to the airport, there was only one available seat, and I didn’t hesitate and grabbed it. After purchasing the ticket, I was all smiles and there was this fear and excitement whitling inside my chest and my mind.
Then it dawned on me that Nicholas might be with somebody already. Somebody prettier and more voluptuous. I am not sure what reason I will say when I get to see him.
Maybe I’ll just say I forgot something in my room or I left my purse while I was in a hurry.
