Chapter 20

"Can I go home?" Nicki spoke slowly with astonishment because her mobility seemed to slow down and until all was well, she was the only one in motion. There were women crying because of the scourge of anatomy, the hasty doctors, the elusive man and those who had the belongings all stopped.

Nicki waves her hands on Jake's face because even the young man seemed to be looking somewhere.

“Aren't you sorry?” There was a female voice Nicki heard all around. She was looking for somewhere where it was coming from, "it's nice to have someone like you to be chosen," a laugh would be heard in that woman's voice.

Mrs. Douglas seemed to suddenly appear was in front of her with a five-meter distance from her. She tried to stand up to her but she was different from her, so she couldn't. She stays in the position despite the difficulty and I wonder why the woman who helped her was there.

“Mrs. Douglas, what are you doing here?”

"Why can only human beings can stand and live in this world?" Nicki couldn't understand the woman's sayings "aren't you sorry you broke the glass?"

'What about the mirror? Why does she know she has a mirror? Who is she really?’  Nicki asked in her mind. The woman also seemed to hear the question and was thinking in her mind.

“Because I own that mirror so I know. If I had the mirror I would never have to introduce myself. ”

Dominic's words echoed in her mind as she came through the mirror. 'It was Snow White’s step mother and I was in the mirror for my whole life. Sometimes she didn't even touch the mirror because whoever touches the glass will release the curse. You grabbed the mirror so I escaped the curse. '

'Queen Veronica.'

'I'm Mrs. Veronica Douglas,’ she used to know her

“Veronica?”

"Alright, lady Nicki," she laughed. Douglas.

"What do you need from me?" She seemed to be even more heartbroken when she learned that this was a powerful Sorcerer in Dominic's time but since she thought it was dead and she wondered why she had to deal with it now.

“Many Nicki, the mirror, the curse, the prince and you. You never know and Dominic can't tell you everything he knows. ” Suddenly Mrs. Douglas was gone and everything is back to normal. Dominic walked into the gym, looking up from the stands, worried about her and looking for her. Until they looked up, he gently waved his hands and approached her.

As if no one really knew what it was, when Dominic approached her immediately carried Nicki like newlyweds couple, shocked Jake and even stopped the prince from doing so.

“Wait, who are you?” Nicki and Dominic look at each other.

"Jake this is my friend Dominic," Nicki's cheek looked like a tomato because she was carried by a prince and had another young man in front of her.

"I'm taking care of Nicki," Dominic couldn't wait for Jake to say anything until he was out of the gym. Until he puts it on the bench under the tree, "what's wrong with you?" at once glance at its strain and concern.

"I'm --- I'm fine," Nicki said shyly.

"You're not okay," he now saw the young man with serious concern. Dominic held onto the fracture and his palm lit up.

Slowly, Nicki's feelings towards her fractures feel fine, "that's okay."

"Are you the one who does everything this?" Dominic was surprised when Nicki asked him.

“The Queen Veronica showed at me and the same she was woman who helped me in getting here. She told me that I didn't know much about you and she seemed to have no reason to trust you. ” Dominic immediately stood up and put a smile on his face as if to prevent not to be mad right now.

He face Nikki again, “don't believe her. She’s just messing around. ”

"She also said she needed something to the bot of us, you said before she was dead?"

“Even though I thought she was dead before, I didn't know how she lived and got here. But I know someone is helping her, I only one know of those five who came to your room before. ” They were both thinking of what was going on with them whether she needed to believe it or not.

Nicki, however, remembers the arrival of five of them and only thought she could help Mrs. Douglas, "maybe Geraldine?"

“No, they are all five. I don't even know who my guardian is. Because when I was in the mirror watching over me, I felt like she was one of five but I didn't know who she was. ” Nicki remembers the five, the quiet of the three, Honey's sudden exuberance and Geraldine's telling that something unique was happening in her room. Dominic comes up to Nicki and grabs both of her cheeks, "believe me, I don't know what it is happening right now."

Dominic was very serious about what he said and they just stared for a seconds. Nicki nodded in anticipation of giving Dominic confidence, "how can I come back?"

“I think, if he needs one of us I don't know what it is. Just don't trust her, if someone comes to you with food or anything. Don't accept it," Dominic walked away and called back the girl, "you need to rest now."

As the young man told Nicki, she seemed to fall asleep immediately. Her eyesight gradually faded and she smelled the peculiar scent of the young six-year-old who wanted to repeat and not hurting. It wasn't until Nicki had fallen asleep in Dominic's arms. They were just swallowed by the light until they disappeared. When Jake returned to the gym to chase the girl's bag, he saw nothing but left some light.

He was so tired of his neck because of many patients from the gym and rubbing it, "I thought they were still here," Jake whispered to himself and went back inside. He help again some of his friends in med department and help some injured students.
