Seven years later.
I sat at the conference table, surrounded by my executives, as we discussed the latest quarterly projections. The meeting was intense, with numbers and graphs flying across the table. Suddenly, my phone rang, piercing the silence. I couldn't help but smile as I saw my lovely wife's name and beautiful face flash on the screen.
"Excuse me, gentlemen," I said, standing up. "I need to take this."
I walked out of the conference room, para sagutin ang tawag ng asawa ko.
"Honey, what's up?"
"Busy ka ba ngayon, Adi?" my wife replied, her voice as sweet as always, kaya napangiti ako.
“Hindi naman,” nakangiti kong sagot.
Of course, when it comes to my wife, palagi akong may oras para sa kaniya kahit gaano pa ako ka-abala sa trabaho.
“How's your day, honey?” tanong
