"She's 5 weeks pregnant, Mr. Abellera," the doctor said.
Nanatili akong nakaupo sa bed habang nakatingin kay Cyden. Hindi ko ito nakitaan ng kahit anong emosyon, but I was happy na sinamahan niya akong magpa-checkup.
"What can I do for her?"
"Just take care of her," nakangiting sagot ng doctor. "Nasa first trimester pa lang siya, which she may feel fatigue, a lot of morning sickness, mood swings, food cravings, and some body changes. Just be there for her."
Cyden nodded. "Thank you."
Nagpasalamat din ako sa doctor bago kami lumabas ni Cyden ng clinic nito.
Pinagbuksan niya ako ng passenger seat bago siya umikot sa kabilang side.
"I need to go to the office, but I'll send you home. You need a rest," he said while fastening his seatbelt.
"I can work..."
