Chapter 5: Kidnapped

Sierra woke up feeling a bit dizzy and her whole-body stiff. Her pillow was hard which made her confused. Were her pillows changed when she slept last night? she taps her pillow twice while her eyes still close just to make sure it's not the same pillow.

"Awake?"

Sierra was startled when she heard that baritone voice. But even though she's surprised, she opened her eyes slowly just to meet a pair of violet eyes looking straight at her.

'I've never met such a handsome man in my entire life'

Sierra thought while staring at the man in front of her and then it finally sinks in right at her. She never met such a handsome man which means this man is a stranger.

She elegantly sits up straight as if she is not in a panic mode inside. While sitting up, she then got the chance to analyze her situation and where she is. It looks like she is inside a moving car with a spacious interior. There are four people inside the car including her and one of them is the man beside her. The other two are in front, one is the driver, and the other sitting on the passenger seat.

Sierra again looks at the man beside her who is amusingly staring at her with the corner of his lips slightly lifted, just like watching an interesting show.

"Who?" she finally voices out, though very much surprised due to this unknown situation. But her voice remains cold and her face is still calm as ever.

The slight smile he has was immediately changed to a frown real quick.

"You don't know who I am?" he said full of warning like if he didn't get the answer he wants, he'll go for the kill.

But Sierra was oblivious of his emotions and still answered, "Yes." And upon saying this, she felt the slight chill in the air. Her eyes wander to the front to see if the aircon of the car was directed to her, but when she looked up front, instead of the car's aircon, Sierra's eyes caught two people sitting in the driver's and passenger seat, slightly trembling and their back was also covered in sweat, she furrowed her brows due to curiosity,

What's wrong with them? they are trembling which means they are cold, but their back was soaked with sweat and it suppose to mean they are hot.

"I didn't know that the Governor of Avaritia City will stoop this low," said the man beside her, which made her look at him again, staring right straight at his violet eyes

'Is he talking about my father?'

Sierra thought but decided not to voice it out.

They looked at each other's eyes for a long time not talking nor moving. Before the man finally turned his gaze away from her and looked at the window beside him.

"Call me, En," he said breaking the silent atmosphere.

Sierra's heart skipped a beat when she heard his name. Confused, she called his name to make sure.

"En," she said with so much familiarity, but her heart didn't skip a beat as to how she expected it to be, but rather it beat faster than normal. So weird.

Due to her calling his name, she didn't notice how the man beside her suddenly look at her with a lot of emotions in his eyes, but he quickly dismissed it and look back on the window as if nothing happened.

Sierra finally calmed her heart down and just obediently sit in her position. To be honest, she is not that scared. She may be surprised or startled at first because of the sudden change of location, but after she already adjusted herself and pass the surprised phase, she cannot be any calmer. Ever since coming into this world, nothing triggered her frightened or scared emotion anymore. What can be more frightening than transmigrating into another world? and furthermore, she cannot feel any malicious nor killing intent from the man beside her, but rather, it feels warm and comfortable that she want to be beside him at all times just to always have that feeling.

'What's wrong with me?'

Sierra never really have any contact with any man in her past life besides her father, and she is not aware of the relationship between a man and woman, that's why when she felt that she wanted to have more of that warm and comfortable feeling, she didn't hesitate to grab a hold of the man's hand looking indifferent as ever.

En looked at her with surprise, but Sierra didn't explain further and simply said, "Warm."

He smiled gently and patted the top of Sierra's head before saying, "You never change."

Though confused she never inquired about his words.

Sierra fell asleep without her noticing and woke up in a queen-sized bed, a lot smaller compared to her bed that is the size of two king-sized beds. She looked around looking for her source of warmth but he is nowhere to be seen.

After staying in this world, Sierra's emotion was slowly disappearing and she doesn't know why. Before, her only problem is her stoic face but since a while ago, the only emotion she can repeatedly feel is confusion and surprised, even when she found out that she was kidnapped, she didn't felt even a bit scared.

She started to notice her disappearing emotions when she cannot feel any happiness after four days of being in this world. The things that should make her happy before became worthless, sadness was long gone even before happiness disappeared that she didn't even think about the family she left in her past life. She didn't feel any irritation or anger since three days ago, even when her mother was irritating and now her feeling of confusion was gone, she never really thought it through anymore and keep on looking for that man with a warm and comfortable feeling.

The door slowly opened that made Sierra look at it, and what greeted her was the man with a pair of violet eyes, the 'warm man.'

She slowly got up, walk to his side and hold his left arm with both of her arms, a new feeling emerge from within her 'contentment', a smile slowly formed on her lips without her noticing

Every change and movement she made was seen by the same man, and he couldn't help but show a brilliant smile full of emotions that are typically not seen by anyone besides her.
