Chapter 4: Family Dinner

1050 Words
As the time ticks and dinner time arrived, the whole Dining area of Casa Amarilla was filled with cutlery's noise. The long dining table only consists of three people sitting elegantly and eating leisurely, while maids are surrounding the dining table waiting to serve their masters. "So how's your day, Sierra?" Luviega finally broke the silence and decided to interact with her daughter. "what else rather than bored?" Sierra nonchalantly replied. "I see, how about going with mommy to shop? it's been a long time since we hang out, how's that sound?" Luviega suggested, not minding how Sierra looks uninterested. Sierra frowned but didn't answer, on the other hand, Luviega take it as her daughter agrees. But before she could express her plan to her daughter. A man in a black suit and bowtie barge in while holding a letter, he announced himself and kneel on his right leg, then bow with respect. when he got approval from the head of the family of three, he slowly stood up and head straight to the emotionless man. "What?" Mammon simply asked while cutting the steak on his plate The servant lean down and whisper something before handing the letter. Sierra saw everything but pretended not to care and continue eating. She saw how Mammon's emotionless eyes turned dark the instant he heard the news. What kind of news can make him this angry? While Sierra is still filled with thoughts, she didn't notice how the head of the household called the butler and ordered him to have the house under strict surveillance and double the security, especially around Sierra's room. "Sierra." Slowly looking up, waking up from her reverie. Sierra looked at her father as soon as her name was called. It's not that she has a slow reaction but more like this body she was used to act gracefully and elegantly, being hasty and in a hurry is not in her vocabulary. "Your mother and I was called in the Central City for a meeting, you'll be alone for a while, will you be alright?" Although there is no concern in his voice, Sierra still understand the meaning behind those words. He's still a father after all and she is his responsibility. What's confusing is that, isn't Sierra always alone? why does it sound like she's not used to it? "Yes, father," she simply replied even though she's still confused. "What? we've just arrived and we're going already?" Luviega butted in the conversation and pouted, but Mammon didn't mind her and started eating again. Luviega continuously complained but when she realized there is no one paying attention to her, she just skulkingly finished her food. The peaceful dinner finally ended and both Luviega and Mammon rode their car to start their journey. Before Luviega entered the car, she repeatedly promised her daughter to come back as soon as possible to go shopping with her and told her not to miss her too much. Sierra's ears felt numb after that torture kind of conversation, since being in this body and living as the Young Mistress of Casa Amarilla. She became too used to quiet and peaceful days that her mother's nonstop talking was like a punishment. After she finished sending them off, she goes back to her room and thought about the fast phasing happenings. According to the information on her laptop, Luviega doesn't even bother looking at her daughter while Mammon, her suppose to be father, is not always home and if he is, he's either in the study and not interacting with her, such family dinner didn't ever happen before, so what's with this situation? It will take about a day before her father and mother reach Central City, the only problem is how long will that meeting last? it should only take about three to four days at the very least before they come back and that's how short of a time she has to analyze her situation. Two days had passed in a blink of an eye, Sierra went through sleepless nights and still cannot come up with anything. After dinner, she went up to her room and didn't bother opening the fluorescent as the moonlight became her natural light, she just continues to stride to her bed. When she laid down, staring at the ceiling. She thought about the first day of her arrival, the information she gathered, her interactions with her family. She forced herself to put them all together to come up with a conclusion and in the end, she got nothing. Is the information in her laptop perhaps misinterpreted or has it tampered? Annoyed, she didn't notice her furrowed brows and lips pouting, showing a pitiful appearance, and all of it was captured in the eyes of a hidden shadow in the darkest part of the room. A smirk was formed on that shadow's lips. After two sleepless nights, her body finally gave up and succumb to a deep slumber. When her breathing became even, the shadow finally moved and walked slowly towards the bed, afraid of waking the princess. As the shadow was exposed to the moonlight, the appearance of a Godly figure came into light. A face more beautiful than a woman but cannot be called feminine. Violet eyes with not a hint of emotion were straightly looking at the sleeping maiden on the bed. Red as blood lips that still has that smirk hanging. Has a tall nose and sharp jawline which compliment every part of his face. A figure which looks to be carved by all the finest artisans together. If Sierra saw him in this situation, she will most probably exclaim. What a beautifully handsome man. He has an aura of ethereal beauty and dangerous darkness at the same time, like an angel with devilish charisma. The man finally arrived beside the large bed and half-kneelingly faced the beautiful sleeping woman on the bed. He carefully took Sierra's hand and kiss the back of it, and a flicker of emotion was finally shown in her emotionless eyes. "I've been waiting for you a long time." He carefully lay down on the bed and positioned himself at the back of the sleeping woman, before gently hugging her as if afraid of breaking a precious gem. "I finally got you."
