LARKIN’S POV
Emily chased after me, her quick pace threatening to catch up with me at any moment. But it was better for her to target me than Lilac. As we ran through the forest, dry leaves rustled beneath our feet, and trees and bushes shook like they were being pelted by a storm. Emily finally caught up with me, and we both fell onto the muddy ground, which led us to a steep part of the woods. Our bodies thumped against the large roots and rocks before we fell below. Emily was the first to stand and attack me again, but I dodged her advances. I didn't want to hurt her, so I evaded her strikes.
