Jamie’s POV:
“No adjacent rooms,” said one of the four sisters just as rain began to pour torrentially.
Lightning zigzagged across the sky as thunder roared. Our frightened faces were illuminated by every flash of lightning.
“What rooms do you have?” I asked.
“We have two lovely rooms, each with three beds, one for the girls and one for the boys,” said another sister as though she were the kindergarten teacher and we were the kindergarteners.
“We’re on a couples’ retreat,” said Zack slowly and loudly over the sounds of the storm. “We need three double occupancy rooms suitable for couples.”
