CHAPTER 32 Confrontation

After Marnie fell asleep, Doctor Michael immediately looked for Doctor Garcia. He was so furious after he reviewed the CCTV footage of the hospital. He wanted to kill Doctor Garcia for what she did to his wife. His unborn child was almost dangered too.
Doctor Garcia, on the other hand, was a bit frightened since she knew that Doctor Michael already knew what she did. It wasn't her intention, if only she knew that she was pregnant, she won't push her. She's not that evil, she still has a conscience especially if it's related to innocent babies. She felt a pang of guilt.
Suddenly, her clinic's door opened and the furious Doctor Michael came in.
He directly choked in her neck. Doctor Garcia coughs and almost cried when Doctor Michael removed his hand gripping her neck.
"I didn't intend to do that I swear. If I only knew that she was pregnant, I won't do it," she was caressing her aching neck while explaining to him.
"If only you knew! What kind of principle was that Christina? Aren't you a professional doctor to hit someone all of a sudden!" Doctor Michael's words were like thunder making her tremble and frightened.
He was so mad and the way he looked at Doctor Garcia was almost killing her.
"I, I, I was just jealous then. But believe me, I felt so bad after what had happened. That's why I immediately brought her inside the emergency room and treat him. I am so sorry. I am not that evil please," she cried aloud as she doesn't want to anger him. She can't help but cry a lot.
"How many times that I've told you that I don't love you. There's no foundation between the two of us. Marnie is already my wife. I love her ever since," Doctor Michael reiterates to her.
"Don't ever touch her again Christina! I'm warning you!" he yelled at her before he left her clinic.
Her secretary outside was so shocked. She had never seen Doctor Michael that mad.
The medical representatives and other medical staff were shocked either.
Doctor Garcia can't get any sympathy from any of them except her secretary. She knew also the trouble she made. She immediately gets her bag and car key then left.
She can't stand any longer those eyes and accusations she heard from her surroundings. She needed to go out and find a place where she can be alone.
She didn't expect Doctor Michael to come to her and almost choked her neck. She felt sorry for Marnie too. Her child is innocent and as an OB-Gyne it was her fault, why the mother and child's health was almost in danger a while ago.
She visited Marnie first before she left the hospital. She wanted to say sorry but when she saw Doctor Michael go there, she hesitate to come inside either.
When Doctor Michael reached his wife's VIP room, he kissed her forehead while she was still asleep.
Why is it every time he was out, his wife suffered from the hands of evil people? He wanted to protect and take care of her especially now that she is carrying their child. He has to be more careful with her.
He won't allow her to work as a medical representative anymore, she should be at rest and safe at all times. He won't allow anybody to harm his wife and his child.
He will now inform his parents about their marriage and he will give her a grand wedding already.
He can't afford to lose her this time especially they were already two. He was so excited knowing that there's a tiny little one in her tummy already, their bundle of joy, their child. He will become a father already.
After composing himself, he remembered how he reacted towards Doctor Garcia a while ago. It isn't his intention either to choke her. He will just find time to apologize to her too. He was just caught in deep anger that's why he did that to her. He knew that Doctor Garcia wanted to apologize to Marnie too.
He watched her while she was still in deep sleep. Once in a while, he used to touch her flat tummy and smile. He still can't believe that he will become a father already.
"I love you both," he said to sleep Marnie and kissed her lips.
Marnie felt something soft touch her lips and when she opened her eyes, she saw her beloved husband kissing her. She kissed him back and said," I love you, Michael."
"I love you more my dear wife," he said. "How are you feeling now?" he asked.
"I feel better now. Can we go home?" she asked.
"No, you have to stay here for two more days. You need to regain some strength and had additional drips to support your pregnancy okay," he told her.
"Alright," Marnie doesn't want to argue with him even though she wanted to go home already. She's much comfortable resting in their bed rather than staying in the hospital.
"Are you hungry? Do you want me to buy some food first?" he asked.
"Yes, please. I am hungry. I want some porridge," she said.
"Alright, I'll go out and buy some. Have some rest while waiting for me okay," he said. He is a bit worried about her. He called from the nurse's station and requested a special nurse to take care of her while he's out.
"Remember not to leave her," he said to a nurse.
"Yes, Doctor Michael. I'll take care of your wife," she replied.
"Okay, thank you," he said.
"I'll go ahead Honey," he bid goodbye to Marnie before he left.
Marnie felt sleepy once again. It's the effect of her medicines and somehow a reaction to her early pregnancy symptoms. She slowly closed her eyes and fell asleep.
The nurse was busy checking Marnie's drip when Doctor Garcia came in. The nurse doesn't know everything and she knew that Doctor Garcia was Marnie's attending physician now.
Doctor Garcia checked the monitoring board of Marnie's vital signs and she got relieved knowing that Marnie and the baby were out of danger already. It wasn't her intention to harm her and she was too guilty of knowing what she had done to her.
She doesn't want to disturb her anymore. She left already. She was happy seeing that she's sleeping well already. She needed to regain her strength.
She also decided to endorse Marnie to another OB-Gyne to avoid too much trouble with her and Doctor Michael.
It's quite hurtful on her part but she needed to distant herself already to them as to save herself and her professional. She's not that evil.
