CHAPTER 23 Dinner Date

Marnie wore a simple dress and light make-up. This is what she used to be, a simple young lady.

Doctor Michael on the other hand is patiently waiting for Marnie in Auntie Rose's veranda.

This will be their first dinner date as a boyfriend and girlfriend's couple. Doctor Michael can't help but smile when he saw how beautiful Marnie looked in front of him right now. He almost dropped his jaw seeing how beautiful she is.

Marnie approached Doctor Michael and said, "Hi doctor, let's go. Is there anything wrong with my face?" she touches her face and becomes conscious. Doctor Michael is still staring at her. He can't believe that Marnie is now his girl.

"Nothing. You looked so beautiful," he touches Marnie's beautiful face and gave her a light kiss.

Marnie was mesmerized when Doctor Michael's face slowly came near her and kissed her. Her face reddened and her voice started to stumble.

"Err. Let's go, Doctor. It's getting late," she said. Her words made Doctor Michael smile.

He liked the childlike behavior of Marnie.

"You can call me Michael. I'm your boyfriend already," he said to this petite lady in front of him.

He wanted to carry Marnie and rejoice. He was so happy that finally, Marnie gave her a chance.

The lovely couple left and Michael brought Marnie to an exclusive dining restaurant in Marinduque. He wanted her to feel his presence and his love.

Michael holds her hand while he was driving. He wanted her to be on his side and to hold her hand at all times. He was so happy and felt so lucky to have Marnie as his girlfriend. He wanted to hold her tiny hand for the rest of his life.

Marnie was giggling thinking that wow she was now Doctor Michael's girlfriend. The one she dreamt of before to pay a little attention to her. She smiled with these thoughts and Michael saw it.

"What's behind your smile my love," he asked. He was so fascinated with his girlfriend now. He seemed to discover amazing traits with her every time they were together and he finds it cute.

He was fond of Marnie. Her childlike behavior seemed to make him treat her as his baby. He wanted to spoil and pamper this little young lady in front of him. Until now, he was still wondering about Marnie being his girlfriend. He loves her so much and he wanted to be with her for the rest of their lives.

He knew how Marnie was being spoiled and treated well by her parents and her elder brothers. As an only son, he grew up spoiled and well pampered by his parents too though he finds it too suffocating especially when he was on his adolescent stage onwards as their expectations became too high especially from his mother.

They arrived at the fine dining restaurant in Marinduque. Doctor Michael's reservation seemed to mesmerize Marnie's attention as the romantic ambiance was present and Marnie felt the love of Doctor Michael for her at this very moment.

"Thank you, Michael. I love this place," she said to him while looking into his eyes. She was so overwhelmed.

"Welcome my love," Doctor Michael answered her.

Doctor Michael holds her hand and leads her to the reservation table. The head captain accompanied them inside the restaurant.

The menu was so delicious and Marnie and Doctor Michael enjoyed it well.

In the middle of their dining, the musical team serenades Marnie and Doctor Michael.

Marnie was so touched as the Serenade team played and sang the song "You and Me." It's a song for two people who fell in love unconditionally. It made Marnie cry.

"Hey, why are you crying my love?" Doctor Michael engulfed Marnie's hand in his big plan.

"I was just being touched by its lyrics. It penetrates inside my heart and soul. Thank you, Michael," Marnie hugged Doctor Michael. She can't explain how much she was touched by the lyrics of the song.

Even the musical team who is serenading with the couple became too emotional as they can see how loving this couple was.

Suddenly, Doctor Michael get a box of a diamond ring from his pocket. He knelt and get the hand of Marnie," Marnie Castello will you be my Mrs. Marnie Co?" Doctor Michael confessed and asked Marnie's permission.

Marnie can't say any words. She burst out crying. Yesterday, he became her boyfriend, now he is asking to be her fiance and future husband.

Doctor Michael is awaiting Marnie's answer. He repeated his question then," Again, Ms. Marnie Castello will you be my Mrs. Marnie Co," he smiled while inserting the ring onto Mernie's ring finger. Marnie's hand is trembling and Doctor Michael felt her nervousness.

"Yes, Michael. Yes," Marnie replied and Doctor Michael immediately rise and gave her a warm hug.

"I love you so much my future Mrs. Co," Doctor Michale confessed to Marnie while rising her chin and looking at her eyes intensely.

"I love you too Michael. I love you too," Marnie can no longer hold her feelings for Doctor Michael. She loves this gorgeous man in front of him.

The serenade musical team now played the musical song of Celebration. They were so happy witnessing how romantic this marriage proposal is from these two loving couples.

Doctor Michael was so happy to receive his long-awaited "Yes" from his beloved Marnie. He can't wait to meet her parents and elder brothers to ask their permission to marry Marnie. He wanted Marnie to live with him already in his condo. He wanted to take good care of her and be with her for the rest of his life.

He planted a sweet kiss on Marnie's lips and Marnie kissed him back. It was the most memorable moment of her life. She will never forget how Doctor Michael proposed and let her feel that she's the most beautiful woman on earth.

Doctor Michael felt that he already owns the world and was willing to give it all to his beloved fiancee, Marnie. He savored the sweetness of Marnie's lips.

The couple danced with pure love and hugged each other.
