Fire is Blazing

It's Just Getting Crazier

I wake up in a daze my head ached, and I feel nauseous. The room was spinning it was the same bright white walls.

"Oh look, b***h fit is awake." I hear Jay remark as I sit up. I look over and glare at him,

"This b***h is still going to kick all of your asses, when I do, you'll be the first to feel my fist."

"Kinky." He responds with a wink his sister scoffs and smacks him.

"Shut up." She grunts. Evalen was sitting across from me looking over some paperwork.

"Goodmorning sunshine you reconsider the offer? If we get you to help us we will spare anyone you like and..." She talks on and on but I zone out I begin to feel my fire spark a bit. I test the feeling by snapping my fingers together a small flame is lite on my middle finger.

"Are you listening." Evalen asks I stick up my middle finger out mocking her with a disgusted look on her face she blows out my flame.

"Not really, can I go home now I'm hungry and I'm missing my family." I hear silence for once, it was peaceful but doesn't last long of course.

"I am sick and tired of playing your stupid f*****g game!" Sky growled in my face taking a hold of my neck giving it a tight squeeze. I sigh her grip was so weak even compared to my already weak state I am in. Having enough wiggle room, I kick her in her stomach causing her to release me and blow out the flame that just wasn't going out. I let out a laugh, stand up and straighten my shirt,

"This was fun, and very, very, creepy but I'm leaving." I pause and turn to Gabriel, "Now! You! REMOVE THE STUPID FOG OR I WILL...." He steps closer and look down at me, doing his best to intimidate me, but I wasn't backing down.

"Or you'll what?" He mocked me the twins tried to hold me back like last time, but I don't let them even touch me before they have the chance, I punch the girl and kick the guy between his legs then punched him in the face,

"I will kill you without hesitation. Oh, sorry I hit her first but at hey you got to feel my fist at least." I say in the deadliest, and empty tone I could muster, then glance at the boy on the floor with a smile look back at Gabriel I square my shoulders making sure he knew I meant every word looking at him is making me see red I want blood and I want to start with him. I get even more in his face.

"Do it then." The second the words came out I already had my fist in a ball, and I punch him right in the face, I might have been able to make a small flame but that wouldn't do any good not to him, so punching was the next best thing. He goes flying into the wall behind him I hear the crack before seeing it. He hunches over, and I spot the hole I created with his body to my glee I see a nice red brick wall under the ugly white one.

"Some color finally." I say absent mindedly. I hear Evalen curse tell her husband to make her stop ruining my new home. I roll my eyes. Gabriel let's out a loud pain filled cry everyone was on me in seconds. He was laying on the ground passed out from the pain. I smiled at myself as Sky and her brother held me back and the rest checking on Gabriel,

"I hope he dies." I say to myself knowing it won't. While they were all in a fuss I try to reach Angelo.

'Angelo?' I don't close my eyes and I try to stand there like I was enjoying the scene and under neither my focus on reconnecting with Angelo I was.

'Apheina!?' I smile mentally keeping my eyes on the now stand Gabriel,

'Angelo! I'm so glad to hear your voice!'

'Apheina where are you what is going on?'

'Why don't you just set his ass on fire?" I hear Angelo his words had a wave of worry mixed with prided.

'That prick has done something that is stopping me from using my magic.' His arms wrap around me, and I feel a large amount of heat starts to pour into me filling every pore running all the cold out of my body I felt like a new magic user again full to the brim and ready to fight.

"Take her to a solidarity room now." Nicolas says in an even tone. Rick stands up from beside Gabriel and take my arm I do my best to move any heat I got from Angelo so it wouldn't get tainted. I hear Angelo voice reseed as he disappears promising me that he will be back and will find me. His takes hold of my arm and pulls me out of the room. I didn't fight him right away of course, but when we were down the hallway, I pull my arm away and prepared little fireballs to throw at him. After he dodges my first three light ones to distract him, he doesn't notice when I throw four all at once, but he was able to accumulate enough ice to shield him from them. Next thing I know, I am pinned against the wall his hands holding my wrist at my sides I spit some fire hitting him on his cheek a little since he tilted his head a little to the right at the last minute.

"Could you stop that is really annoying." I huff anger gets the best of me, but not enough to use all the magic I was given, I am determined to keep the rest of the heat in my heart not letting the little piece he gave me to be taken.

"And I should care why?" He sighs,

"Kids..."

"You are barely older than me, you're what 18, 19?" He gives me smirk, "Now let me go!" I growl. He laughs a little and lets me go but doesn't move.

"Be a good girl and I won't touch you." I laugh this time,

"Not a chance." He sighs but gives me a smirk.

"Of course not. You know I read up on you before you got here." He looked amused by my statements and actions. "You'll be fun." I narrow my eyes and push him away since he was getting closer. "Come on I'll show you to your room." He takes hold of my arm again but had a tighter grip that I can't pull free from.

"So, what's with you?" I ask. He looks at me,

"What do you mean?"

"I mean what is really going on? And" I look at him up and down, "What with you in general are you mean or nice? I bet you're a sociopath, aren't you? You are the only one I haven't figured out but I'm putting my money on the latter." I see the smirk widen.

"What Nicolas said was true we just want to be normal and I..." he pauses, "well let's just say I'm here to confuse you."

"Wha..." I cut off by a kiss from him on the lips. I quickly push him away and spit fire at him but with his ice ability I might as well just blown air in his face so instead I smack him hard across the face with my free hand leaving a large red mark on his face. He just smiles.

"So, Apheina tell me about yourself." He says pulling me alongside him down the hallway. I don't answer and when I didn't, he starts talking again,

"Apheina Rose Flaire, age 18, no siblings, lived in a small village until you were 14. You only ever really had one friend there and that was Angelo who in reality loved you. Once you entered the academy you changed you started to make many friends in all the elements in fact, but you have quiet the temper despite the lack of normal social ques you have two very close friends, Raven and Clay. A lot of people believe that you are the most talented girl in your class, and they are not wrong you are at the top of your classes well in the performance area in your studies you are kind of lacking. Your mother is a secretary to the council and your father is a council's assistant being in high-risk jobs they were taught by none other than Angelo's grandmother Silvan. Oh, and Angelo calls you Bunny." He smirks at me, and a cold chill runs down my spine, but I don't show it,

"Oh, wow you guys know how to use the internet good for you, let me guess while Gabriel was uncovered, he looked me up. It's good to know he isn't a complete i***t along with being an asshole." I sigh. We walk up a flight of stairs and to the right there was doors everywhere.

"I hope we can be friends as well Apheina you seem like a really nice girl." I roll my eyes,

"Totally but hey friend, your shirt is on fire." I smile. He lets me go at the feeling of fire burning his back. I took the chance and took off running down where I came from, I hear him swear a lot I let out a laugh as I run down the stairs, I set the carpet on fire so he can't get to me right away. I skip down the stairs by two but when I got to the bend, I see the twins heading my way. The moment they see me they start running towards me. Jay makes the stairs go flat covering them with ice causing me to slide down the rest of the way I smirk,

"That was faster." I stay to myself when my feet touch the ground, I take off running again Jay tries to make me lose my balance by making the grown uneven, with ice lumps but I am an athletic person and all my years of training with the council as much as I hate to admit it help me stay balanced. Sky then came in with a giant gust of icy wind I jump above the wave and using heat from my fire, and I jump over their heads. "Woah" I whisper I was mimicking Angelo's movements from the test unsure if I could actually do it. They stopped in their tracks and turned Jay blocks my path with an ice wall, but I throw fire at it melting enough to make a hole for myself. I turn down a hallway and was meet with two angry faces, I pause knowing unlike the others they had time to mastering their powers. I take a deep breath and charge using my fire to make them move but Evalen swats her hand in the air, and it was gone, 'Icy Air seems pretty popular.' I make a mental note. I try again this time after shooting the fire I use heat to enhance my jump to go over Nicolas, but my heat was snuffed out and I was falling, my body froze, literally my insides were shouting as something, or someone was freezing my insides. I close my eyes forcing the last of Angelo's flame deep down away from this freezing hell and I shout in pain. I land in someone's arms and hear a sigh.

"Baby girl, if you had just gone into the room with no problem this wouldn't have happened." It was Rick.

"Shut up, Ricky." I cry out in a low voice. I hear a laugh and my body warming up extremely slowly I might add.

"I'm also a fire user." He whispers in my ear, "It's just me, you and Gabreil are the only fire users on this whole island." Unintentionally he gives me some helpful information that I store for later then I move closer to him, and he holds me closer, tighter. "It'll be okay just sleep." I could feel the heat seep deeper into my skin and it was so warm I did fall asleep, but it wasn't a natural sleep it felt forced.

I wake up to snoring I look over and see a man. Unsure what was going on a feeling of dread fills me and my fear has me fall out of the bed with a loud thump. I hear stirring in the bed I look to see him sitting up with no shirt on, my eyes fly wide open in horror I look down I am in big shirt probably his and pajama shorts. He looks at me and stares at me for a good second then starts laughing. He moves to the edge of the bed, lends over taking hold of my wrist and pulls me onto the bed with easy.

"What are you doing on the ground silly." My eyes are practically bugging out of my head.

"Wha.. Wha..." I couldn't form any words my mind was blank what is going on? "What is going on?" I couldn't remember anything.

"Apheina it okay, shhhh." He pulls me close and starts to pet me his touch was not comforting trying to move away but his hold on me tightens slightly making me freeze.

"Who are you?" I say trembling a little finally able to move away from him,

"I'm Rick, but you call me Ricky." He says with a smile. "This is your room, we are in the mansion of Nicolas and Evalen Ticheli, they are the ones that took you in after you were abandoned. Yesterday there was a incident and you hit your head pretty hard. Nicolas had to freeze your blood a bit to stop the blood from seeping to fast into your brain. It seems it's cause a bit of memory lost but it'll come back." I nod but still confused.

"Okay, well why are you in my bed?" He smiles,

"I was here to warm you back up after you were patched up. I used my magic to send some of my heat to you nothing more." He gives me a wicked grin, "unless you want to do something." My face flushes and I get out of the bed pulling away from his uncomfortable warmth and to the door,

"Get out please." He just smiles and slides of the bed and picks his shirt off the floor. I let out a large sigh thank gods I'm not in his shirt. As he passes me, he stops and looks down, though he isn't that much taller than me.

"See you soon, bunny." He says and kisses me,

"So..... I..." I stumble over my words so I take a deep breath and try again, "Can you just leave Ricky, I need to get dressed."

"Okay, okay I'll come get you for breakfast." I nod my face red like a tomato. I open every door finding one small closet and a private bathroom along with a door to a dark hallway it was so dark I could barely make the outline of the person on the other side of the hall. I had almost missed it if the tall person hadn't shifted a chill runs down my spine and I close the door leaning on it then turn to lock it, to my horror there was no lock at least not on this side something was telling me I wasn't safe. I pace back and forth along the room then go to the closet and look at the outfits they were not my size nor my style. I go to the bathroom and clean my face. After getting ready I hear a knock my heart almost jumps up my throat.
