The Hybrid Prophecy

Chapter Thirteen

(Rose’s point of view)

I looked at Rickie not understanding what he was going on about,

   “I have never heard about a hybrid prophecy?” the Queen said and Rickie turned to look at her.

   “I had never heard about it too until I came across this book, it does not really say much it mainly says this

   ‘The hybrid prophecy will come two when two enemy’s change to lovers,

   One will lose a parent to the enemy while the other is stolen from their parents,

   One will be locked away from the outside and will live a life of isolation,

   The other will be abused and not know of their lineage,

   When they become one they will become more powerful together than anything,

   They will be a vampire and a werewolf, both royal and will unite everyone and

   Bring peace to the world but before they will have to go against a

   Love one and the true enemy that seek to destroy them,

   The happiness of the whole world will depend on them.” He finishes saying and I could not believe what I was hearing, how could there be something written about myself and Jack without anyone knowing?

   “how can this be? How can there be something written about my father’s death before it happened? That means if people knew about it, it could have been stopped” I say but the look on Rickie’s tells me that is not true.

   “I am sorry Rose but it was written because it was meant to happen, just as it was meant for Jack to have been kidnapped. We need to keep this from everyone until we find out who the true enemy, tell me your majesty’s do you have any who had kidnapped your son? Maybe they could be the true enemy that we should be looking for” Rickie explained but all I could about was who was the loved one we would have to go against, would it be my mother or someone to do with Jack?

   “Yes we know who it was they are locked up in our dungeon if you would like to speak to them?” the King said and Rickie nodded, everyone got up to leave but there was something I need answered before they left.

   “Wait first we need to think about who could be the loved one that Jack and I have to go against” I say looking at all of them. The King and Queen looked like they did not like me talking like this but if this prophecy is true then we need to be ready for anything.

   “I do not want to say this but there are only two that I could think of and that would be the Queens” the King said without looking at his mate.

   “How could you say that Lee? I would never go against my own son” the Queen shouts because she is trying tide her pain. I stand as I look at her, I can see the unshed tears in her eyes, without thinking I was towards her and pull her into a hug. I felt her stiffen when I hugged her, I did not care about if she hated me or my kind I just knew that she needed a hug from someone.

   “I know it is hard to have your family think that you would hurt them in anyway, I feel the same about my mother. Just remember how much you love your mate and your son” I say while letting go of her. I put my hands on her shoulders so that she would look at me,

   “prove the men wrong, we women are better. I have no ill will against you. You are the mother to my mate, thanks to you I have the best mate ever and I thank you for that, I just hope one day you will see me as a daughter or at less your son’s mate and not just a vampire or freak” I say to her while looking her in the eyes so that she knew I meant in. The Queen looked at me and smiled, I was quick to return her smile.

   “Call me Lisa and I will call you Rose” she says while wiping some of the tears that had escaped her eyes.

   “I can see so much love for her son that I do not think it would be Lisa that we would have to go against. If I am truly honest I think it will be my mother, she already tried to remove my mark of my mate from me.” I explain but when I said this Rickie looked guilty and I knew he knew something that I did not.

   “I know that look Rickie, what do you know?” I ask him, at first he does not say anything so I move closer to him so I can look him in the eyes better.

   “I think you are right about having to go against your mother, she is not thinking clearly. When I told her about the ritual and how you will die the person did not love you like a mate should. She said she did not care just as long as she did not have a mutt for a daughter.” Rickie said but I could not believe my own ears, how could my mother say that? Does she not love me at all? Before I could think anymore I felt someone hug me,

   “Just as you told me, do not listen to what your mother said. She is wrong and I am lucky to have a kind caring person and my son is lucky to have you as a mate” Lisa says to me while hugging me and I hug her back. Jack came over and hugged both his mother and me at the same time making us chuckle.

   “Ok let’s go talk to the monsters that kidnapped my mate” I say while walking to the door, Lee must of mind linked a guard to take us to the dungeons because two guards were waiting outside for us and started to lead us somewhere. After a while of walking we entered a dark room and as soon as the door closed we heard people shouting, I could feel Midnight growling because we could hear someone shouting something about their mate has come to visit them.

   ‘They better not be talking about our mate, he is ours and I will rib the b***h apart who try’s to say he is theirs’ Midnight growled in my head and I completely agreed with her. No one will be taking my mate from me, I will kill them before they have a chance to blink. The guards stopped just outside two cells, I grabbed Jack’s hand because I wanted whoever was in there to know that Jack is mine. Lee and Lisa went in first while Jack, Rickie and I waited outside to hear what they would say,

   “Thank you for coming down to see myself, my wife and daughter. Please let us go we had nothing to with the kidnapping of your son. We did not know that Jack was not their son until you told us, we did nothing to him. Yes we should have tried to protect him from the monsters that beat him but we just did not know what we needed to do.” I hear a male voice say as I am looking at Jack, Jack is shaking his hand and smiling.

   “Wait out here for a moment love” Jack says to me before giving me a quick kiss then walking into the cell. I moved closer to the door so that I could hear what was being said.

   “You did not do anything to me did you not Alpha?” I heard Jack ask, Jack waited for the Alpha to answer but he did not say anything.

   “So you did not beat me daily and stave me while making me do all the housework” Jack roared. I growled hearing what this man had done to my mate, how could anyone treat someone so bad?

   “That was only because we thought you did not have a wolf, you were a disgrace to the pack and wolf kind. We have learned our lesson” he pleads to Jack but I do not think it will work for them.

   “You have not learned your lesson and I do not believe you did not know who I was. I remember the day that you found out the King and Queen were coming, you knew they were my parents because the imposters were shouting about how they could not come and said you knew why” Jack shouted. I could not see how he was going to try and get his family out of this now,

   “you would not punish your own mate?” said a nasty little voice, I could not believe what I had just heard. Without thinking I walked straight into the cell to see who dared call my mate theirs, I knew that Rickie had followed me in.

   “What the hell is are two vampires doing here?” ask the Alpha,

   “I am here to see who had harmed my mate and the b***h that thought she could have what is mine” I sneer at them before anyone else could speak up.

   “You f*****g lying b***h, vampires and werewolves cannot be mates, he is mine” the skinny b***h shouted at me. I could not stop myself from laughing, is this girl for real? I walked right up to the girl, I pulled my hair to the side so that she could see my mark.

   “If he is your mate why would he mark me?” I asked her in the sweetest voice I could muster, at first the girl looked shocked at what she saw and shook her head not wanting to believe what she saw.

   “That is not his mark, it is properly that filthy vampire’s mark and you are trying to pass it off as my mates to piss me off” the little b***h said. I heard Jack growl at the idea of someone else marking me,

   “Jack come here and show her the beautiful mark that I put on your neck and how it matches mine” I say to him without taking my eyes off of the b***h in front of me. Jack came right up behind me, placing his hand on my back as he walked around to my side. He knelt down and turned his head so the b***h could see the mark that I had gave him and how it matched mine. At first the woman was in shock, she could not take her eyes off of the mark on Jack’s neck. Seeing the w***e that tried to claim my mate so shocked made me smile.

   “You let a disgusting bloodsucker mark you as theirs” she screamed but before she could say anything else she went flying across the room. I looked to see who had hit her and saw that it was Jack,

   “do not talk about my mate like that ever again” Jack roared.

   ‘Damn mate is sexy when he’s angry’ Midnight purred and I agreed with her, I walked up to Jack and grabbed his hand to calm him down.

   “Come on baby let’s leave the monsters here” I say while trying to get him to look me in the eyes, after he returned my look I pulled him out of the room away from that b***h. We walked to the other cell but before we went in Jack pulled me to a stop.

   “Are you ok?” I ask Jack thinking that something that b***h did or said could have upset him, Jack just smiled at me for a moment then pulled me towards him. He did not look me in the eyes, he seemed to not be able to take his eyes off of my lips. As I looked at his lips all I could think about was kissing him, I stretched to my tiptoes and wrapped my arms around his neck. He lend down and stopped when he was only a few inches from my lips, I could feel his breath hitting me in the face. His breath held more of him scent and I tried to breathe as much of it as I could,

   “what you are about to hear from me and maybe them monsters is bad but I am happy that you are here with me” he says as he gives me a quick kiss and turns to walk into the cell.

   “I am right here with you if you need to leave at any point just let me know and I will hold your hand all the way though this” I say to him and give him a quick hug before walking into the cell with Jack right next to me. I saw a couple sat on the wet ground, they were not what I had expected, the woman looked horrible. She looked like the guilt she felt was eating her alive but the man just looked angry like he was not happy his plans had failed. I got the feeling that the woman and something to do with the kidnapping of Jack but that it was against her will or something.

   “Oh look who it is, the bastard that stole my mate and the bastard son that was never meant to be born” the man growled at Jack and his father. The woman looked up and I could see the hurt on her face obviously the man is her mate and he wants someone else. I walked towards the woman and bent down to look her in the face,

   “I am going to give you one chance to earn your freedom but to get it you have to tell the truth to the questions I ask…” I say but I do not get to finish.

   “Yes, yes I will tell you the truth, please get me out of here” she said too quickly,

   “you did not let me finish. You have to tell the truth and reject your mate” I say to her, shock spreads across her face.

   “I know it will be hard but I get the feeling that you have been forced to do this by the mate bond, are you ready to answer my questions?” I ask looking her in the eyes, she takes a while like I thought she would. She looks me in the eyes and then at her mate and back to me, she does this a couple more times.

   “Yes the mate bond made me do the stuff I did, I will leave my mate and answer every question you want just please let me out of here.” She begs but before I could say anything we hear a roar coming from her mate,

   “you will tell them nothing you b***h, if you do I will kill you.” he roars at the woman,

   “Rickie get the keys and unlock this woman and take her upstairs for questioning. Everyone looked at me like I have grow three heads but did not say anything,,

   ‘What are you doing love?’ Jack asked me though mind link,

   ‘I have a feeling we can get the information from her that we need and we may be able to use her trust me’ I reply to him and after something he nods and follows me out of the room. I do not know why but I feel like I have a connected to this woman, like I knew her from a past life or something.

   ‘That is because her wolf is my sister’ Midnight said in my head,

   “WHAT?” I shouted out loud making everyone turn to me.

   “MIDNIGHT COME OUT AND EXPLAIN HOW THAT WOMANS WOLF IS YOUR SISTER!” I shout making everyone around me gasp, Midnight better have a good reason for saying this.
