The Hybrid Prophecy

Chapter Fourteen

(Midnight’s point of view)

As soon as Rose walked into the cell I could smell a familiar scent that I had not smelled in years, I looked around the room. As soon as my eyes landed on the woman sitting on the floor cowering in fear, I knew that was the person the smell was coming from. The problem was that I never meet this person before, I searched through Rose’s memories and I could see that Rose had never meet this person too. I could not put my paw on why I knew the smell off this woman,

   ‘that is because it is not her you are smelling, it is me you sister’ a voice that I would have known from anywhere in the world said through mind link.

   ‘Rana is that you?’ I asked eagerly, hoping she would answer soon,

   ‘yes my younger sister it is me, oh how I have missed you’ Rana reply’s to me. I could hear the tears in her voice which made me cry. I could not believe it after all this time I finally have my sister back. I was not paying attention to the conversation that everyone was having until I heard Rose’s thoughts about how she felt like she had a connection with this woman. I could feel that this was scaring Rose,

   ‘That is because her wolf is my sister’ I mind link her hoping to calm her down but it had the opposite effect.

   “WHAT?” Rose shouts out loud instead of in mind link,

   ‘I will explain later and thank you for shouting that out loud’ I mind link her while rolling my eyes at her.

   “MIDNIGHT COME OUT AND EXPLAIN HOW THAT WOMANS WOLF IS YOUR SISTER!” She shouts again making everyone that is looking at us gasp. I start to feel Rose push me forwards.

   ‘Thanks a lot Rose’ I mind link her as I take control of her body, everyone is waiting for me to answer but I do not want to speak down here.

   “Is there anywhere we can go where we can talk in private?” I ask while looking around, at first no one spoke and I started to get scared.

   “We can speak in my office” Lee said while turning

   “Follow me and guard keep an eye on the woman until we get back” Lee says as he leads us out of the dungeons, I just hope everyone has an open mind it, it is kind of hard what I am about to explain.

Everyone is sat in Lee’s office, Lee and Lisa are sat together while me Jack and Rickie are sat on separate chairs. I wish I were sat on my mates lap with his arms wrapped around me,

   “Rose could you explain to us why your wolf said that that woman’s wolf is your wolf’s sister?” Lisa asked me and I could not help but smile. They did not know that I was Midnight,

   “I am happy to explain why Rose said that but I am not Rose I am Midnight” I say and I cannot help but smile at the King’s and Queen’s shocked face.

   “How are you able to take over Rose’s body? I have never heard a wolf being able to do that” Lee says in a shocked voice,

   “usually we cannot do it but for some reason Jack’s wolf Flare and I can, maybe we will get the answers one day but for now I have no answers for you” I say while sneaking glances at Jack. I could see him smiling at me,

   “now about why we are here, I will tell you how Rana is my sister. As you know the Moon Goddess made us all, when a human is born that will be a wolf the Moon Goddess will pick a wolf that will match the person’s personality. Now usually it is not normal for wolves in the spirit world not to have siblings but Rana and I are special, we are sisters because we are the daughters of the Moon Goddess” I say to them while knowing how they are going to react.

   “My mate is the daughter of the Moon Goddess” Jack says with a big smile on his face, I was happy he was happy about. I looked around at everyone in the room, they looked like they did not know what they should do. Lee was the first one to do anything, he stood up and walked over to me

   “my Queen, I am honoured to be in your presence. I will protect you will my life, thank you for trusting us and being mated to my son.” He says as he bows to me, I felt uneasy having the King of the wolves bowing to me.

   “Please do not bow, you are family” I say to the King while pulling him to stand up, Lee stands and smiles at me. Lisa walks over to me and pulled me into a hug,

   “thank you for trusting me” she whispers to me before letting go of me and returning to her mate.

   “Shall we go question the woman” I say as I feel my mate come up behind me, they nodded in agreement and started to walk out the door. I went to follow but I was stopped, Jack closed the door and pushed me against it.

   “Hello, my little mate, long time no see” Jack said, well I thought it was Jack until I looked him in the eyes. When I looked Jack in the eyes they were glowing purple and I knew that it was Flare in control.

   “Hello, my King, my Alpha” I purr at him, he pulls me closer to him and I could feel how excited he was to have my body close to his. He started to rub himself against me as he started to kiss my neck, I let out a moan of pleasure as he increases his speed.

   ‘Midnight do not even think about it, I want my first time with Jack to be special and I want to be in control of my own body’ Rose hisses at me and I could not stop myself from growling because she was ruining my moment with my mate.

   “I guess your human is telling you to stop this just like my silly human is” Flare growled into my neck, damn Rose for ruining this moment. Before Flare could let Jack have control of his body again I pushed Rose out so he could meet her.

(Rose’s point of view)

I felt Midnight push me back into control but I did not know why, when I got control of my body again I looked at Jack.

   “Sorry about not warning you that I pushed Midnight into control of my body Jack” I say to him, hoping he would understand. Jack just smiled at me and I could not shake the feeling that I was missing something,

   “you do not have to be sorry baby girl and by the way call me Flare not Jack” he said purring into my ear. I thought that Jack would have been given control when I was but now I can see that he had not.

   “Hello Flare, could you let Jack come back please we have to go question the woman that kidnapped him” I say hoping that Jack could come back straight away but Flare just smiled at me.

   “Before Jack comes back I want a little time with my beautiful mate” Flare purrs and I could not help but swoon a little at his words. I could not stop myself from kissing me but I tried to keep in my head that this was Flare not Jack and that I could not let this go any further. Just as I felt Flare push his hands around my back towards my bum, I quickly grabbed his hands before he could go any further.

   “That is enough let Jack have control back” I order him earning myself a growl from him,

   “do not growl at me” I growl at him while letting my aura out to show him how much power Midnight and I had, I did not let all my power out but I let enough for him to know who he was messing with. Flare started to whimper as he felt the force of my power but I did not stop until I knew Jack was in control again. It took a while but Flare finally gave in,

   “thank you for the help there sweetheart” Jack said and I knew I could stop and started to pull my aura back.

   “I am sorry that I had to order Flare to bring you back and I am sorry for having to use my aura to force him to let you out” I say quietly, afraid that I may have hurt his feeling by ordering his wolf.

   “It’s ok baby I knew you had to do it, Flare did not want to give me control back, let his control slip with you. He did not mean it” Jack said to me and it made me feel a little better, I think he saw that I was still feeling guilty because he brought me into a hug. I sighed as soon as felt his arms wrap around me, I loved how it felt to be in his arms as well as his scent but all to soon it was over.

   “Come on they are going to wonder what has happened to us” he says while opening the door and walking out of the room, I followed and never let go of his hand. We followed everyone’s scent to a living room, everyone looked up when we walked into the room. All but one of the people in the run was smiling at us and I could not help but blush thinking they knew what we were doing.

   ‘You were only making out with your mate, it was not like you were doing anything naughty yet’ Midnight mink linked me making me blush more. I roll my eyes at Midnight,

   “sorry we are late I needed to talk to Rose for a minute” Jack says but the snickering that I could hear did not make me feel like they believed that story. We took our seats next to Lee and Lisa and waited for them to start asking the question.

   “Now that everyone is here we can begin, tell us why you helped steal our son” Lee asked the woman but she did not answer him or even look at him, she just kept looking at the ground.

   “When your King asks you something you answer me straight away” Lee roared making the girl shiver but she still did not answer him.

   ‘Rose you ask her, maybe she can feel the connection that you felt from me’ Midnight mind linked me, I cleared my throat to let everyone know that I was about to speak, luckily for me Lee was not angry with me.

   “What is your name?” I ask something simple to see if she would speak to me,

   “Ruby, what is yours?” she asks me without looking up, I smile at the fact that she is talking to me, I just hope it continues.

   “Why did you help kidnap my mate Jack?” I ask using his name so she knows who I am talking about, I did not want her to think because I am being nice that she can trick me.

   “It all started 22 years ago when I went with my mother and father to celebrate the wedding of the King and Queen…”
