The Hybrid Prophecy

Chapter Six

(Rose’s point of view)

I could not see anything but darkness, where am I? I tried shouting for help but no sound came out of my mouth. I tried to move but it was like I was floating on water but I could not feel any water around me, I tried to keep calm and hope that someone would find me soon. Suddenly there was a bright light and a loud bang making me jump, the light blinded me so yet again I could not see anything. Once the light had died down I opened my eyes and saw the wolf from my dream.

   ‘What was her name? Erm come on Rose think…. Midnight, her name was Midnight’ I thought while feeling happy with myself that I remembered the wolfs name.

   ‘That is right Rose my name is Midnight, thank you for remembering. I am going to like you being my human’ a voice said in my head, how did a voice get into my head? I looked at the wolf and the way the wolf was looking at me said it came from her.

   ‘Did you just speak to me?’ I asked Midnight yet feeling silly talking to a wolf, I mean wolves cannot talk.

   ‘In a way I just spoke to you, it is called mind linking. That is what I am doing now that is how a wolf and there human speaks to each other and that is how we will talk to our mate.’ The wolf answers me and I could not help but be shocked by this, why is this wolf saying our mate? I am a vampire I do not have a wolf, that is when I remembered the wolf attacking Rickie in the forest and me getting in the way of it biting Rickie. I winced at remembering the pain of the bite, when I winced so did Midnight,

   ‘I am not happy with mate biting us but one good thing came out of it, it made the connection between you and me possible’ Midnight said to me. This was not making since to me and I needed answers,

   ‘I thought vampires die if they get bite by a werewolf how am I alive and now with a wolf?’ I ask Midnight while hoping that she had the answers for me.

   ‘Usually vampires will die from a bite from the werewolf just as a wolf will die from a vampire bite but we and our mate are special. There is a prophecy about us and our mate it had been written from the drawn of time that you were meant to get a wolf, you just had to wait for your mate to bite you. It was not meant to happen the way it did but our mate will explain why that happened to us.’ Midnight says and it is a lot of information to take in,

   ‘what prophecy are you talking about?’ I ask, at first the wolf just shakes her head

   ‘I am sorry but I do not know, I have told you everything I know and now it is time for you to wake up, mate needs us’ she replies. Even though I want answers about the prophecy I know she is right, that we need to wake you.

   ‘How do we wake up?’ I ask not sure on what to do, Midnight looks like she is laughing but I still cannot hear anything outside of my head.

   ‘We need to join together as one, hold your hand out and I will place my head in your hand and we will become one forever’ she says to me and started to lean her head towards me. At first I do not move, I want to wake up but I do not know what is going to happen to me when Midnight and myself join together and be one.

   ‘Do not worry, I will be your best friend and we will be together forever and I will love you more than anyone else and you will love me in the same way, trust me.’ She says and I just know that I can trust her and hold my hand out for her, once she sees my hand she leans into it. The second we touch I start to feel a warm sensation started to run though my body starting in my hand and moving to my whole body. I closed my eyes as it felt like my whole body was on fire, I hope I was doing the right thing here and not making things worse.

   ‘Open your Rose, mate needs us’ I heard Midnights voice in my head and on command I opened my eyes. At first I did not know where I was, I quickly took a look around and saw that I was in my bedroom at home, how did I get make here?

   ‘There is no time for that we need to get to mate now, they going to hurt mate’ Midnight howled inside my head. Without thinking I ran out of my room and started to look for my mate, at first I did not know where to go so I run ran around looking and as I got downstairs I smelt the most delicious. It smelt like freshly cut grass and the ocean on a warm summers day. The smell made Midnight howl with excitement, I pushed myself to run faster, I wanted to see my mate. I followed the smell into the dungeons and I was not happy that they put my mate in a cell, I ran straight into the cell and what I saw made me angrier than I have ever been before.  Rickie had just landed a punch on my mate and I was not going to let him get another one, as he raised his hand I ran at him and pinned him against the wall.

   ‘How dare he touch and hurt out mate?’ Midnight growled in my head and I could not help but agree with her.

   “Do not lay another hand on my mate or I will kill you with my bare hands” I growl at Rickie, shocking him. I do not care at the moment that he is meant to be my best friend, no one hurts my mate. I stay looking at Rickie, making sure that he had got the message.

   “MINE” I hear a deep male voice growl and I turn to see my mate for the first time, I could not believe how sexy and beautiful my mate is, I am so lucky.

   “MINE” I growl back and run over and try to help him stand up but he is unable to stand, I look to see what is holding him down and I see that it is silver chains. I grab them and break them apart to get to them off him as fast as I can. Once my mate is free all I want to do it be in his arms but before I could do anything I feel someone pulling me away from him, I look to see that it is my mother.

   “What are you doing Rose? You know that you cannot be with a werewolf” my mother hisses at me as I try to brake out of her grasp as they keep me away from my mate.

   “Get your hands off my mate” my mate roars and I cannot help but get turned on by the power that was coming off of him. My mate is powerful and he wants me,

   ‘let me take over your body Rose and I will get to our mate and get us out of her’ Midnight says to me as I feel her trying to push herself into control.

   ‘Just do not hurt anyone’ I say as I give her control and feel myself being pushed to the back of my mind.

As soon as Rose gave me control I pulled myself out of her mother’s grip and ran towards the guards that were holding my mate down, keeping my promise to Rose I pulled them off of my mate without hurting them too much. Once my mate was free I grabbed his hand and started to feel tingles running up and down my arm.

   “Let’s get out of here mate” I say to him and started run and pulling him with me. Once we were upstairs I ran to the nearest door I could find, two doors later we were outside. Now I just have to get away from here, I started to run towards the gate as I heard vampires running after me, I was not stopping to let them hurt my mate again. As I got outside the gate I stopped dead in my tracks at the sight in front of me, there was a whole army of wolves stood in front of me growling and ready to attack.

   “LET GO OF MY SON YOU FILFTHY BLOODSUCKER” screamed the woman at the head of the pack and ran to attack me, I did not know what to do. All I want is to be with my mate and now I am going to have to fight for him. Just before the woman reached me someone grabbed her by the neck stopping her from reaching me,

   “STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER YOU MURDERING MUTT” Rose’s mother hisses and the next thing I know all hell had broken loose and everyone was attacking each other.
