The Hybrid Prophecy

Chapter Eleven

(Jack’s point of view)

   ‘Jack, Jack, you need to get up mate is in trouble’ Flare minds links me and I try to get up but I feel like a weight is on me holding me down, I keep trying to push the darkness back but it is not working. Just as I was about to give up I felt the worst pain in my life, it felt like someone was cutting into my neck. I fought harder against the darkness to find out who was cutting us,

   ‘Jack that is not our pain we are feeling it is mate, someone is hurting our mate, we need to save her’ he mind links me and when he said that my eyes flew open.

   “Rose is in pain I need to go save her” I say while looking up, I saw that the Queen and King was in standing over me in my room but I did not waist time. I got up as fast as I can and started running, I did not know what way I was going but something told me I was going the right way so I kept on going. I felt like people were following me,

   “Jack what is going on? We want to help” I hear someone say and I turned to see that it was the King speaking to me and the Queen had followed close to her mate. I could not understand why they would want to help but I get the feeling that I should not turn the help down.

   “I can feel that Rose is in pain and whatever they are doing is killing her, I cannot let my mate die” I say with so much pain in my voice that I can see it effecting the King and Queen.

   “do not worry son we will help you, Guards get ready we are going to vampire kingdom to save the prince’s mate” the Queen shouted and guards started to line up behind me. I could not believe that so many people are willing to help me, seeing everyone that are willing to help I could not help myself but smile. I turned and started running the way I had a feeling that would be the right way,

   ‘do not worry mate, we are coming to save you’ Flare growled and I agreed with him, we are going to save our mate no matter what.

When I saw that we were nearing the castle I could not stop myself from moving faster, wanting to get to my mate sooner. As I neared the castle ground I stopped feeling any pain from my mate, this did not make me happy because I thought something worse may have happened to my mate. I pushed myself faster to get to my mate but before I could round the corner my mates smell hit my nose, telling me she was close. Just as her smell got stronger a vampire came round the corner holding my unconscious mate in his arms.

   “What have you done to my mate?” I growl at him and it takes my whole strength to hold Flare back from breaking out, the vamp looks scared of all the wolves that are with me.

   “I did not do anything to her, I saved her and right now we have to run before they catch us. I will explain what happened to her when we are safe is there anywhere we could go that she would be safe?” he explains and I am not sure I should believe him,

   ‘he is telling the truth Jack, you can trust him’ Flare mind links me and I know we do not have the time for me to question him on how he knew.

   “Yes we do, give me my mate and follow us to the pack house” I say to him while holding my hands out for my mate, I want her out of the unmated vamps arms. The vamp looked unsure of whether to let me have my mate but after a couple of seconds he placed her in my arms. I could not help the whimper I let out when I saw my mate, who could have done this to her? I turned and started to run the way we had came from, we need to get her to the pack hospital to make sure she is ok. I pushed myself to go faster as I heard vampires chasing us, I did not want to get into a fight right now, I needed to know that my mate was ok, that was the only thing I cared about at this moment.

   “Can someone lead me to the pack hospital?” I ask,

   “follow me” I hear someone call and see the Queen push herself to be faster than me and show me the way to the hospital. I made sure that I was right behind the Queen making sure that I followed her, the Queen must of mind linked people because there was a doctor and nurse waiting for you near and empty room. I placed my mate on the bed so that the doctor could help her but when the doctor touched my mate I let out a powerful growl, my wolf and myself did not like the doctor touching my mate.

   “I know she is your mate Prince but I need to examine her to see what is wrong and what I need to do to help her, could you please wait outside?” he asks me but I did not move, there was no way I was leaving my mates side,

   “please your majesty just wait right outside the door for ten minutes and I will let you back in, I will work as fast as I can” he says and reluctantly I walked outside the room and stood right in front of the door, ready to run in the second the door opens. I saw that the vamp that brought me my mate was there with the King and Queen,

   “erm thank you for staying here your majesty’s and erm?” I say to the King and Queen and the vampire that I did not know his name, the vampire let out a little chuckle.

   “My name is Rickie, I am Rose’s best friend well only friend and personal bodyguard” he says with a smile on his face and something tells me that we are going to be friends one day.

   “There is no need to thank us son we will do anything for you and your mate and don’t call us your majesty’s, call us Lee and Lisa. Than when you are comfortable you could call us father and mother” he says with a shy smile and I just smile and nod back. I am not sure how to take the fact that the people that I thought where my parents are not and the wolf King and Queen are, it is going to take a long time to get used to that.

   ‘We will deal with it when mate has woken up’ Flare mind links me and I agree with him, we need to concentrate on our mate right now, I start pacing back and forth waiting for the doctor to come out.

After what felt like a lifetime the nurse came out of the room holding some tubes with my mates blood in it,

   “I am going to run some tests on her blood the doctor should be done in a minute or two and will let you back in and tell you what is going on” she says with a smile to me. I started to feel at easy knowing that I will be next to my mate very soon, I could not take my eyes off of the door as I was willing it to open. After a minute of me standing there staring at the door it finally opened,

   “you can come in now” the doctor said and I did not wait for him to finish his sentence before I ran in there to see my mate. She was still laying on her back on the bed, I ran to her side and grabbed her hand and could not help myself but feel happy as I felt the sparks from when her skin touched mine.

   “Now I have taken some blood and running some test of her blood but she looks fine, she had a cut around her mark on her neck but I do not know why. Whatever the person who did this to her was doing it took a lot of energy, my best guess is that she will be up by tomorrow” he says and I fight off a growl, who could hurt my mate?

   “I know who did this and what they were trying to do?” Rickie spoke up, I turned to look and saw that everyone had followed me in. We waited for Rickie to speak,

   “it was her mother, she was trying to remove your mark she did not want her daughter marked by a wolf” he whispered making me growl, how could a mother do this to their own child?

   “How would she do that? I have never heard of it before” Lee said I was half paying attention,

   “I will explain when Rose is awake” he said taking a seat against the wall while Lee and Lisa sat on the opposite side to him and I pulled a chair close to the bed so that I could hold her hand through the night.

   ‘Tonight is going to be a long one’ I mind linked Flare and I heard him do a wolfy laugh

   ‘Yes but at less we get to be near mate all night’ he replied and I could only agree with him as I laid my head on the bed while not taking my eyes off of Rose, wake up soon mate.
