My life is far from perfect, but right now, I have the closest thing to perfection. My life can't possibly be better than it is right now. It was hard for me to open up to anyone. All the women I have been with after Anne meant nothing to me.
Then I met Hope. That night, I went into that bedroom to tell her to keep the money and leave. She was there for Henry but when I saw her face, when I saw her in that lingerie, I felt things I hadn't been able to feel in years.
I didn't realize this at first, but all the time I was with those other women, I was looking for her in them. I was trying to feel what I felt that night. I could never get it because they were not her, they could never be her. Now that she is here, I don't want to lose her.
