I woke up gasping, sweat beading on my forehead as my heart thundered in my chest. It felt like I’d been running for hours, chased by something I couldn’t escape. My hands trembled as I ran them through my hair, trying to shake off the lingering remnants of what had to be the worst nightmare of my life.
The images flashed in my mind: the party, Lucien’s betrayal as he kissed Willow, the horrifying revelation that everyone shifted but me. And then, as if that wasn’t bad enough, the Princes—Dane, Sylus, and Cassian—weren’t just Alphas but Lycans, and I was…their mate.
I let out a shaky laugh, trying to brush it off. “What a ridiculous dream,” I whispered to myself. But my laughter died in my throat as I looked around.
