Embarrassment.
A total and life-consuming embarrassment washed over me from the moment I dashed into the bathroom. I didn’t know what happened to me but I knew the moment I placed Amy on the floor that my body was acting strange. I tried to blame it on my nervousness, but when the rumbling in my stomach intensified and I felt the upcoming load threatening to leave my body, I was gone.
Never in my life have I felt so embarrassed as I felt that moment. The ceremony went well, the party was a total blast, and my moment with Amy was a perfect ending. For the first time in my thirty years, I felt welcomed, wanted, and appreciated. What was supposed to be my night to remember turned into a night I wished to forget.
