Chapter Seventy-Nine. Diana. The coo cooing of the damned wood pigeon that has taken to use my bedroom windowsill the past three mornings as it flaming perch wakes me up. God, I wish it would just f**k right off. Annoying s**t. I throw back my covers and stomp to the bedroom window, opening it. “Shut up!” I yell at the grey feathered cooing fucker, making it take flight. A Disney princess, who is kind to all the animals, I am not! Nope. I am more akin to d**k Dastardly, especially over the past few mornings, wanting to catch the pidgeon! . ‘What has you so grumpy, Diana?’ I hear you cry. Bloody Jessie, that is what! Don’t get me wrong—the past few days have been a whirlwind of joy and bliss. His declaration and determination to make us work have almost been a dream come true.
